FC Stone Puts Corn Crop at 13.004 BB

CHICAGO (Reuters) -- Commodity brokerage firm FC Stone on Wednesday estimated the 2009 U.S. corn crop at 13.004 billion bushels and soybean production at 3.379 billion bushels.

The estimates reflect an average corn yield of 164.0 bushels per acre (bpa) and an average soybean yield of 44.1 bpa.

Stone's previous estimates were for a 13.064 billion-bushel corn crop with a yield of 163.3 bpa, and soybean output of 3.329 billion bushels with a yield of 43.4 bpa.
